Uzbekistan's automotive industry, centered around major hubs like Tashkent and Navoi, is currently transitioning from simple assembly to deep localized manufacturing. The extreme continental climate, characterized by harsh winters and scorching summers, demands powder metal parts that exhibit superior thermal stability and wear resistance to ensure engine longevity.
Currently, the reliance on imported engine components is shifting. Local manufacturers are increasingly adopting PM parts to reduce production costs and material waste, aligning with the government's strategy to modernize the industrial base and increase the local content value of vehicles produced for the domestic and CIS markets.
The integration of powder metal products is particularly critical for engine valve trains and oil pump gears, where the precision of sintering allows for complex geometries that are impossible or too costly to achieve via traditional forging in the local Uzbek market.
