The difference between PM powder metallurgy parts and injection powder metallurgy parts

PM powder suppression technology and injection molding technology belong to special technologies, precise manufacturing, and all have good material processing characteristics

1. Powder metallurgical suppression molding is to rely on gravity to fill the mold with powder and squeeze through the pressure of the machine. In actual industrial applications, it is the most widely used. The static pressure and temperature pressure of cold -sealing and closed steel mold suppression, cold pressure, heat and other static pressures are suppressed molding. However, because it can only be suppressed in two -way up and down, some complex structural parts cannot be produced, or they can only be made into embryos. In other words, suppressing the product is simpler, the product volume can be larger and the density is not high.

2. Powder metallurgical injection molding is to use a very fine powder to increase the amount of thermoplastic adhesive into the molding mold. Because it can be suppressed in multiple directions, it has advantages in product complexity. It is suitable for small and complex parts. The requirements of the powder are thinner, so the cost is relatively high, and the molding density is relatively high. When the processing of parts cannot be completed with die casting and machine processing, powder metallurgy injection molding has a relatively advantage. But for powder metallurgical manufacturers, it is not cost -effective if there is no large batch.

The difference between powder metallurgy suppression molding and powder metallurgy injection molding is simply summarized. Regardless of which powder metallurgical forming method is selected, the premise needs to be reasonably selected according to the characteristics of the finished product to be made.
