Pulvermetallurgi gør det muligt at opnå komplekse former direkte fra komprimeringsværktøjet uden nogen form for bearbejdning, såsom tænder, splines, profiler, frontale geometrier osv.

Opnåelige tolerancer i den vinkelrette komprimeringsretning er typisk IT 8-9 som sintret, der kan forbedres op til IT 5-7 efter dimensionering. Yderligere bearbejdningsoperationer kan forbedre præcisionen.
